Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness Meditation allows me to 100% present and encourages me to squarely focus my attention on, 1 thing, my breath. I get to center my thoughts and close out the world for 3 minutes.

And as a result, I feel completely relaxed and I don’t think about what laundry needs folding, which video I needs editing, what email or call needs responding to or the million other creative things making rounds in my mind throughout the day.

Did you know you already meditate everyday?

For anything that you focus on with sustained attention, especially in “REPETITION”, you are meditating. Consequently, and most importantly, repetition creates habits. Habits become a part of our subconscious, our subconscious affects our mood, our moods affect our actions. Our actions affect our lives.

Furthermore, meditation has been scientifically proven to reduce stress, increase productivity, increase creativity, and so many other health benefits! Just think of what meditation does to our subconscious mind… read on.

The Subconscious Mind

Ever connect with a song and get so into it that you start dancing or singing its lyrics? Mediation.

Ever get so enthralled by a scene in a movie or show? You are meditating.

Connecting and read far enough to see this? Yep, you’ve meditated.

Let me tell you, I am having so many amazing epiphanies the more I’ve practiced meditation this week!

That is why I believe it is incredibly important to be picky about who and what we let into our life/psyche/subconscious.

Negative people, violent movies, discouraging people, and one of the most meditative things, the type MUSIC we consume!

For example, I believe music puts us into trans-like, hypnotic state. Therefore, if we’re listening to music that doesn’t inspire or uplift us with words of happiness, hope, abundance, or feeling loved & inspired, it is not good for our mental wellness.

Because what we focus on with thought and feeling is who we are and what we manifest physically. We are creators. What we focus on grows.

Now don’t get it twisted, I will Turn Up to some ratchetness! However, that type of music is not in heavy rotation in my life.

Anyway, more on this later!

Thank you so much Trina! Yes, please try it! You can do as little as 1 minute! Try only focusing/thinking about your breath for 1 minute and nothing else. If you decide to try it let me know what you think!!
